* rock :  (앞뒤·좌우로 살살) 흔들다, 움직이다, 요동시키다(sway); 진동시키다;

* back and forth : 앞뒤로

L) It's supposed to fall off the bone. 뼈와 분리되어야겠죠

* fall off : ~에서 떨어지다

D) Hey, Josh, come hang on to this while I saw, would ya? 조쉬, 여기와서 이것 좀 잡아줄래?

* come + 동사 : 와서 '동사'해라 - 구어에서는 부정사없이 come 동사로 많이 쓴다

M) Hey, you know what, the electric knife's in the kitchen, it'll have that ready in two seconds.

저기 전자칼이 부엌에 있으니까 금방 가서 잘라올게요.

Looks great, Daddy. I'll be back. 맛있겠네요 아빠. 금방 올게요. 

K) I can't believe we're not going to see her until Thanksgiving. 추수감사절까지 언니를 못보다니.

D) Christmas actually, Scotland's too far to come back for Thanksgiving. 스코틀랜드가 워낙 멀어서 크리스마스까지 못올걸.  

L) Wait, are you kidding? We're not gonna see her till Christmas! 뭐라구요? 크리스마스까지 언니를 못본다구요?

D) Look on the bright side, 긍정적으로 생각해보자

Margot won't be taking the car every day, you can practice your driving. 마고가 차를 안쓰니까 매일 운전연습을 할 수 있잖아.

K) I forgot I had to drive with Lara now. 라라진을 내가 데려다 줘야겠네.

L) Feel free to take the bus. 넌 버스나 타고 가.

J) If you guys are in a bind, I can give you a ride. I'm not disappearing, I'm right next door.

너네 어려울 때 내가 데려다 줄게. 난 바로 옆에 살잖아. (쏘스윗....)

* in a bind : 곤경에 처하다

ex) I'm in a little bit of a bind. Can you help me out?

아니면 내가 운전해서 경찰에 걸리면 바로 자리를 바꾸는거지.

* pull over : 차를 갓길에 세우다. 경찰에 걸려 차를 세우다. 

D) Top-notch idea, honey.  역시 천재야 우리딸.

* top-notch : 일류의, 최고 뛰어난 ex) The acting is top notch.

M) What'd I miss? 무슨말 하고있었어?

K) We were talking about what a bad driver Lara Jean is. 라라언니의 형편없는 운전 실력 이야기.

J) Yeah, we were, but we were also talking about airplanes, which speaking of... 그렇긴 했는데 비행기표 얘기도 있어. 

I have a surprise for you. 뭐냐면 깜짝 선물이지. 

* speaking of : ~에 대해 말하자면, 말나온김에 

M) Oh...

J) You couldn't come home for Thanksgiving, I figured I'd bring home to you.

It's a plane ticket, I'm coming to Scotland. 스코틀랜드행 비행기표야.

D) Look at Josh stepping up! 조시가 행동파구먼! (step up : 나아가다) 

M) You... You already paid for this? 벌써 산거야?

J) Yeah, I had a Google alert set for flights as soon as you decided you wanted to go to school there. Why? 

웅. 너가 스코틀랜드 학교 가겠다고 결정하자마자 구글에 비행기표 알람을 설정해놨었어. 왜?

K) Mm... Just like Mom's. 음. 엄마 요리처럼 맛있네.
